A Piece of Phil

What do we understand by the statement:
ALL'S RELATIVE
That means for an Indian , the Britishers might be wrong (because they ruled their country for over 150 yrs) even when they were actually justified in their act.Let me clarify.

Britishers enslaved India.They actually did what contemporary Indians would have done to them had the conditions been just the opposite.It's nature's rule - the powerful overpower the weak, though the temptation to do so is not either psyche.
In that case Britishers were just pragmatic on their front.What they did wrong was the atrocities to protect their position thereafter. But that is not counter-intuitive. Even today in India, landlords and money-lenders resort to social evil to rule their self-proclaimed authority over rural people. Why then do we expect compassion from the Europeans?
